Once a week, we walk the dogs at the Monticello Animal Shelter. We rely on volunteers to ensure that each dog gets exercise and socialization. Meeting lots of new people helps the dogs adjust faster when they are fostered and adopted.
Walk them for ten minutes. Walk them for thirty minutes. No matter how long, they'll love you for it.
It takes less than an hour of your time, and it's a great way to becomes familiar with the volunteer opportunities in our organization.
We love seeing new volunteers. Come introduce yourself. The more volunteers, the longer each dog gets to be walked. Families and children are welcome. Nothing makes us happier than seeing happy dogs playing with happy kids.
